My favorite time to be out for a walk is the early morning, as the sun is beginning to rise, everything is still quiet as nature is starting to awake.

This cold morning, 23 degrees, felt like 12, I came across this image of a lone cow grazing in the field with a single, barren tree. I liked that each was alone but they were also together. The rest of the cows were nearby, waiting for the feed to be dropped off, all huddled together, no doubt staying warmer as well.

This all reminded me of a favorite quote: "The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." -Fredrick Nietzsche
